Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to learn about the book, read the first chapter, use the worksheet and get in touch. That includes people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard only, enlarge text, or have low vision or color blindness.
The standard we follow
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the most widely used benchmark for web accessibility in the United States.
What we've done
- Text has sufficient contrast in both light and dark mode.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a link to skip to the content.
- Headings, page regions and lists are structured for screen readers.
- Images have alternative text, including the text shown on the cover.
- Forms have clear labels, marked required fields and error messages that are announced.
- The site adapts to small screens and to zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- We respect the reduced-motion setting and declare the language of every page.
How we test
We checked every page, in Spanish and English, with the automated tool axe-core, in light and dark mode, on desktop and phone. We also tested with the keyboard only, at 320 pixels wide and with increased text spacing. We review the site again whenever we make significant changes.
Known limitations
- Store and social media links lead to third-party sites (Amazon, bookstores, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) with their own accessibility practices.
- Forms are delivered through Formspree, an outside service.
- Any downloadable documents we add later, such as PDFs, will be published in an accessible format. If one isn't, please tell us.
